Alenda Golf

Overview

Alenda Golf is an 18-hole course on the Costa Blanca, designed and built by Roland Favrat. Opened in 1999, the course covers 49 hectares and measures 6,268 metres.

The layout follows the natural contours of the land, with much of the original vegetation retained during construction. Its changing levels, demanding greens and varied holes require careful club selection throughout the round.

Course Details

Alenda Golf offers a balanced round across two contrasting sections. The opening nine holes provide a more forgiving introduction, while the second nine present a stronger test from tee to green.

Gentle changes in elevation run throughout the course. The heavily undulating greens place added importance on approach accuracy, reading breaks and distance control.

Course Highlights

Roland Favrat designed Alenda Golf around the existing terrain, limiting changes to the original landscape. This approach preserved the course’s natural character and established vegetation.

The layout encourages golfers to use every area of their bag. Strategic shot selection becomes more important across the back nine, where the course grows more demanding.

Views towards the Sierra de las Águilas mountains and the coastline provide the backdrop to the round.

Practice Facilities

Alenda Golf has a driving range measuring up to 280 metres. Practice options include hitting mats, seasonal natural-grass tees and lighting for evening sessions. Mat availability depends on demand at the time of each visit.

Three putting greens support work on pace, accuracy and reading breaks. Hole 19 provides a separate practice hole for rehearsing shots in realistic playing conditions.

Alenda Golf School offers coaching supported by audio-visual swing-analysis technology. The facilities suit beginners learning the game and established golfers working on specific areas of their technique.

Clubhouse & Facilities

The Alenda Golf clubhouse provides indoor seating and a spacious terrace overlooking the course. Golfers have a comfortable place for breakfast, lunch, dinner, refreshments or a post-round drink.

The clubhouse cafeteria serves throughout the day, with views across the surrounding countryside.
